Garlic Bread Recipe

Who doesn't like garlic bread? What makes it so tasty, is the perfect combination of cheese and garlic! This recipe especially, has a memorable story behind it...

One of my best friends (who I've known since I was three) and I were at my house studying (since both of us had the same history textbooks) but ended up showing each other memes and laughing about it! It was 4 o clock, which is technically everyone's snack time, we too were really hungry.

(I was trained to use the air fryer for the reason that it is so easy and also because I wasn't allowed to use the gas).

So we decided to cook! And I'm not talking about making maggi or bread butter sandwich. After skimming through almost 10 cookbooks and websites, we found a recipe:- garlic bread!

My friend was probably cooking for the first time, but mind you, she was skilled at grating cheese (she still is!). But overall, I think we did a great job. As time went by we made our own easier version of garlic bread, here is the recipe!

Preparation time:- 5 minutes
Cooking time:- 5 minutes
Serves for:- 2

Ingredients:-

Butter (melted) - 3 tablespoons
Oil - 3 tablespoons
Cheese (grated) - 4 tablespoons (or as much as you'd like!)
Garlic (chopped) - 5 to 6 cloves
Italian seasoning - 1 teaspoon
Oregano - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
Salt - as per taste
Bread loaf

Method:-

1. In a small bowl, add the butter and oil.
2. Add garlic, italian seasoning, oregano, red chilli flakes and salt and mix well.
3. Add the cheese and mix well bringing it to a semi-thick consistency.
4. Spread it evenly on a bread slice.
5. Put the bread slice on a pan (or hot plate) and cover for 2-3 minutes (make sure bread is brown and crispy)
Note:- If you are using air fryer, put the bread slice in and let it cook at 200°c for 3-4 minutes.
6. Enjoy!

Online Birthday Parties and the Cyclone

So apparently these are a thing nowadays. I know I haven't been posting very frequently recently but that's because I've been busy organizing one myself. I planned a birthday surprise for my friend whose not from my school, so I had to gather 11 of her friends who I barely knew to plan it with me.  The struggles were REAL.  Communication and cooperation between teenagers is a huge task, believe me, I write with experience. We teenagers are lazy especially when it comes to sending some photos or videos, but there is that one person who has laziness in their DNA. Even if you start planning 15 days before the person's birthday, that person will send the picture for the video or collage 25 minutes before the zoom call.  Don't even get me started on WhatsApp groups, these only work if the other people are willing to reply to the plan, I mean isn't that how it's supposed to work? There'll be that one person who never replies, NOT A SINGLE MESSAGE, only reads t...

Being An Ambivert

How many times have you been asked whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert? Have you ever answered saying you’re someone in the middle? If you have, chances are, you’re an ambivert! I am one and I know many other people who are one too.  Some people probably did not know that such a word existed (neither did my parents:) which is why I’m going to write about what it's like to be an ambivert. Ambiverts aren’t as shy as in introvert but at the same time, not as outgoing as extroverts. We like being around other people but we sometimes also need our own personal space to do things we enjoy. For teenagers especially, the words ‘personal space’ has a whole new level of meaning.  I personally think I’ve taken this gene from my mom since my dad is more on the introvert side. While my first impression might state me being an introvert, my best friends would beg to differ. Ambiverts can be completely different in front of strangers and in front  of friends. It’s...

The Family Saga

This lock down  has been rather great, except for the fact that I couldn't go out and meet my friends. But let's face it, haven't we all found a new hobby or maybe started doing something productive which we never thought we'll like? My family has been very productive, and that includes my grandma starting the TV exactly 10 seconds before Mahabharata starts. My mom, who rarely cooked, has become the next master chef. In the last few days, my house has become a restaurant with different types of cuisine everyday. We have had Maharashtrian, Punjabi, Italian Continental and even chaat. Although the one thing that came free with the cooking was my mom's exceptionally lame jokes! Trust me, you do not want to hear those jokes. My dad on the other hand, has been diligently doing yoga everyday and yet does not complain about the amount of times I disturb him. When it comes to me, I have been obsessed with n number of things. Some of them being, room makeover, baking and the...
